We live divided lives. Most people present themselves one way at home, a different way at work or school, still different ways with friends, family, lovers and partners. We shift from one compartment of our lives to the next, often loosing track of who we are in our essence; often loosing track of our true selves to all of the many ‘selves’ we portray.

One of the greatest ‘health risks’ of our time is ‘stress’. We are told that stress is responsible for everything from cancers and heart disease to obesity, depression, drug addiction and failed marriages. Here lies the vicious cycle: stress is caused by living apart from our true SELVES, yet many of us have divided our time and energy further by adopting ‘stress-reducing’ practices. We are now one way at home, with friends, etc. and another way at the gym, in yoga class, in our once-a-month meditation group, or our weekly tia chi class.

Often ‘stress reduction work’ entails taking you out of your daily life. You are advised to ‘un-plug’, ‘tune-out’ or ‘turn off’ outside information, technology and sometimes even loved ones. While we acknowledge the importance of ‘down time’, we also know that ‘turning off’ is often not an easy option and not true to the demands of modern life. Just the pursuit of spare time is stressful. We prefer to focus on ways to bridge work and home, relaxation and ‘real-life’.

Workshops, classes and presentations seamlessly incorporate ‘RotG’ tools using modalities appropriate to the client. We utilize one or more of the following teaching vehicles: facilitated group discussion and practice, lectures/ talks, writing, yoga, meditation, live performance and ‘focus workshops’. Programs focus on stress reduction, work/life balance and relaxation related to topics ranging from employee management to parenting, from student life to personal safety, gender and sexuality. All presentations are custom-created for the client/ organization.
